Pretty Girls by Karin Slaughter

Pretty Girls by Karin Slaughter

Twenty years ago Claire Scott's eldest sister, Julia, went missing. No one knew where she went - no note, no body. It was a mystery that was never solved and it tore her family apart.
Now another girl has disappeared, with chilling echoes of the past. And it seems that she might not be the only one.
Claire is convinced Julia's disappearance is linked.
But when she begins to learn the truth about her sister, she is confronted with a shocking discovery, and nothing will ever be the same...

This was my first Karin Slaughter book and I am a convert! I've seen Karin Slaughter recommended by pretty much every book reviewer and have customers in store that rave about her. I don't know why it's taken me so long!
An amazing book. Fast-paced, gorey at times and shocking, the perfect combination for a good thriller. No, not good. Amazing!

I don't really have any negatives to say about Pretty Girls. My only worry is that all Karin Slaughter reads are equally as entertaining. I enjoyed that it wasn't a suprise reveal at the end, that the "who-dunnit" of it all is discovered part way through the book. But it doesn't take away from the suspense and still makes it a page-turner.
